The Pocket series was designed to offer the performer an integrated sound system with subwoofer and satelitte speakers all carefully matched to optimise audio performance, low weight and compact size. A specific aim was to create a system which could offer excellent power output but that was really portable. Up until this point a performers only options were to compromise on sound quality or accept large heavy cabinets in their sound system which severely reduced portability. For many performers neither of these situations was acceptable. Step forward the Pocket 700 from SR Technology. This system finally provided the freedom to access professional audio quality with an absolute minimum of weight and size. As such, it became an overnight success in a huge range of mobile sound applications. From solo performers to entire Jazz bands the Pocket was the perfect portable audio solution.
Since the launch of the Pocket 700 the range has been further developed and expanded so that now there are a total of 4 models with power outputs from 180-4200 watts. All systems however retain the 2 salient principles that govern every Pocket system: professional sound quality and unparalled portability.

Pocket 180
Designed for home and studio applications the diminutive 180 sports a heavyweight punch with a full 180w RMS of output. 120w is sent to the subwoofer whilst each satellite speaker provides 30w. The subwoofer features pairs of jack, phono and high sensitivity phono sockets for connection of both domestic and professional audio equipment together with computer based music systems. A rotary control allows you to personalise the balance between the subwoofer and the satellite speakers and an overall master volume is also provided. Other features of the 180 include switchable filter and independent microphone input. The 180 is available in both a smart lacquered black and polished wood finishes.
Pocket 750
The successor to the amazing 700 the 750 features enhanced functionality in both standard and MX ( mixer) versions. The standard model now provides a full 750w RMS with increased output for the satelitte speakers. The subwoofer sports a "12" driver which provides an exceptional low end while the 2 satelitte speakers each feature an "6" woofer and '1" horn for superb clarity and tonal depth in the mid and upper frequency ranges. Connections are all via professional XLR connectors and include both inputs, for connection of mixers and instruments, and outputs, for sending signals to other sound systems, monitors etc.
The MX version features an integrated remote mixer with digital effects, studio quality EQ and phantom power. The mixer can be used from within the subwoofer or moved to a suitable position on the stage via the included 6 pin cable. The MX model now also features all the connections offered on the standard 750 model. This facilitates the use of an external mixing desk if so required
Pocket 1400
For high power portable audio the 1400 is an excellent choice. The subwoofer features a "15" driver providing a full 800w RMS of output and the 2 satelitte speakers utilise "8" woofers and "1' horns for precise and powerful mid/upper frequencies. Despite the huge power output the system is still exceptionally light. The 1400 features SR's valve simulation technologies for enhanced tonal warmth and quality in the upper frequency areas whilst the "Dual Bass" feature allows both a powerful warm bottom end and a more aggressive and dynamic tonality at the turn of a switch. All these features come together to provide a potent professional PA system for any discerning performer. The 1400 also has built in expansion that allows the connection of a second subwoofer to provide a full 2000W of output for even greater output.
Pocket 1500
The all new Pocket 1500 offers a new look and a new modular approach that makes it both the most powerful and the most flexible Pocket system to date. In its standard form the 1500 features a single subwoofer with a "15" driver and providing 800W output and this is matched with 2 satellite speakers with an '8' driver and "1' horn each handling 350w to make a total system power of 1500w. Just like the 1400 model the 1500 uses both SR's valve simulation technologies and "dual bass" to offer unparalled tonal quality and flexibility.
The 1500 includes integrated expansion that allows the addition of a second passive subwoofer to take the system to a 4 cabinet configuration offering a total output of 2100w. However, this is only the beginning for the 1500 because every active subwoofer also includes a bridged mode that allows the connection of a single 700w RMS satellite in place of the 2 x 350w versions. This satellite features a '12" driver and "2.4" horn. By matching 2 active subwoofers with 2 x 700w satellites you now have a system with 3000w of incredible output. Add the optional passive subwoofers to this scenario and now you have a complete 6 cabinet system providing 4200w of outstanding audio performance that can sit in a family hatchback or estate car. Not only brilliant audio but also brilliantly practical.
